Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevgen Korniychuk claimed in recent media interviews that he feels that there has been an increase in protests and demonstrations against Ukraine throughout Israel, which he believes are directly funded by Russia.

"Support for Ukraine in Israel is only growing. It does not matter what language they speak. Most Russian-speaking Jews have left Russia and fled the totalitarian regime. Therefore, if a person came from Russia, there is no need for him to support the war against Ukraine," Korniychuk said.

He claimed that "in Israel, there has recently been a trend of anti-Ukrainian protests. We are seeing events sponsored by Russian money. Such demonstrations are being held in some cities."

"We saw such an event in Netanya, and last week Russian flags were hoisted in Haifa. Two anti-Ukrainian demonstrations took place in front of our embassy in Tel Aviv. I approached these people and asked how much they were paid. Unfortunately, such demonstrations cannot be banned."
