The Ta'al Party, led by MK Ahmed Tibi, and the Balad Party are considering running in the upcoming elections separately from the Joint List, which is an alliance of Ta’al, Balad and Hadash.
The Israeli Arab news site Kul al-Arab reported on Tuesday, citing "informed sources", that this proposal came up after Hadash failed to meet the demands of Balad and Ta'al regarding the number of candidates in the first six places on the slate of the Joint List.
A political figure involved in Arab politics said that Balad is considering running on a slate that will include national figures from Arab society.
The report also said that voices are being heard in support of having the Ra’am Party, which is led by MK Mansour Abbas and which represents the southern faction of the Islamic Movement, run as one slate with Ta'al.
