The National Reconciliation Committee has decided on the formation of a joint Arab list composed of the communist Hadash, left-wing Palestinian nationalist Balad, and anti-Zionist Arab nationalist Ta'al parties.
The Hadash faction published a statement commending the decision. It noted that it is prepared to launch the election campaign immediately to raise the voting rate in the Arab sector and to achieve the Joint List's greatest electoral success.
According to Hadash, the refoundation of the Joint List reflects the Arab public's desire "to topple the fascist right-wing government."
The faction accused the government of working to perpetuate the "occupation", continue the war of "extermination" in Gaza and "ethnic cleansing in the West Bank," and escalate the "racist" attack on Arab citizens in the country and undermine their security by giving a free hand to organized crime gangs.
