Eighty-five Jews from South Africa and Zimbabwe recently made aliyah, becoming the third group of South African Jews to become Israeli citizens this year. The new citizens were greeted with a festive ceremony at the Kotel (Western Wall), where they received their Israeli ID cards.

The new immigrants spoke about their feelings upon arriving in Israel. One young arrival said his aliyah was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream, while another thanked G-d for allowing her to make her home in the Jewish homeland.
