Former Shin Bet chief Yoram Cohen, No. 2 on Gadi Eisenkot's political slate, called during an appearance on Channel 12 News for the evacuation of some of the farms and communities that Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich established in Judea and Samaria without a government decision authorizing their establishment.
The Likud responded to Cohen's remarks: "Another truth has come out. Eisenkot's No. 2 is revealing the truth - Eisenkot will form a left-wing government that will destroy the settlement movement. Eisenkot will establish a Palestinian state."
Religious Zionist Party chairman Smotrich again called on Ofer Winter, following Cohen's remarks, to join forces with the national camp.
"For many months now, I have been warning that an Eisenkot government will evacuate the communities and farms we established. Now Yoram Cohen, a senior figure in Eisenkot's party, is saying it himself. The only way to ensure that this disaster does not happen is for the right not to waste precious votes."
"I call on Ofer Winter to listen carefully to Yoram Cohen's serious remarks and understand the significance of this moment. If Winter runs alone, the communities we established will be in danger. If he takes responsibility and joins a united front as the public wants, with God's help we will win. This is the time for unity and responsibility in the national camp."
