Ha'achdut party officials criticized Blue and White following a meeting between Ha'achdut (Unity) chair Gilad Erdan and Blue and White's Benny Gantz.
"The briefings from Blue and White, [issued] the moment Erdan left his meeting with Gantz, show more than anything who truly wanted unity and who was merely interested in gaining media attention," they said.
According to the officials, "Blue and White never attempted to discuss substantive issues and refused to go all the way toward unity in order to unite the bloc."
Gantz's Blue and White has polled below the electoral threshold for months; Erdan's recently-founded party has also failed to pass the threshold in recent polls.
Friday's Maariv poll found that Ha'achdut would win only 1.1%, while Blue and White with 0.6%. A Thursday poll published by Channel 14 gave Blue and White 1.2%; while Ha'achdut received just 0.1%.
