Amcha Yisrael chairman Ofer Winter responded Sunday evening to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s claim that his party poses a threat to the right-wing bloc.
“I met with Winter and offered him, ‘Come join us and you will be welcomed.’ I’m concerned that this party could fall below the electoral threshold, so I offered him a reserved slot. He chose to go his own way, and therefore we are currently in danger," Netanyahu said in an interview on Channel 14’s “The Patriots."
“I heard that some people are saying that Amcha Yisrael is endangering the right-wing camp," Winter responded, arguing that “what endangers the right-wing camp and the entire people of Israel is kites from Gaza. What endangers the right-wing camp and the entire people of Israel is hundreds of aid trucks entering the Gaza Strip every day. What endangers the right-wing camp and the entire people of Israel is thousands of Nukhba terrorists right under our noses, in Gaza and Judea and Samaria. What endangers the right-wing camp is allowing people to evade military service instead of fighting for the integration of the haredim. What endangers the right-wing camp and the entire people of Israel is that those who give and fight are not receiving what they deserve and must receive. These things, and others, endanger the right-wing camp and the entire people of Israel."
“Do you want to change this? Do you really think you can choose the same thing and get something different?" Winter asked.
He added, “There is only one genuine way to bring about change in the right-wing camp and in Israel as a whole: new people who had no part in the failures of October 7. New people who will focus more on leadership and less on politics. We are part of the right-wing camp, but we work for no one, only for the people of Israel."
