Former US ambassador to Israel David Friedman tweeted in response to the reports of clashes between Israelis and Palestinians in the town of Qusra over Shabbat.
"Here’s the other side of the “settler violence" headlines from yesterda," he wrote, adding a video showing how the Israeli group was attacked during a Shabbat hike. "The Jews seem to have been attacked on Shabbat so the Palestinians could get ahead of the media. When the Jews push back, the cameras start to roll."
"If you think this was not encouraged, and even caused, by the 45 Democratic senators publicly condemning “settler violence," you don’t understand the Middle East. Again, political vacuums generally are not filled well. Time for One Jewish State," he concluded.
