After a long and demanding summer, Israeli soccer player Manor Solomon's 2026/27 season with English club West Ham has gotten underway.

Solomon opened his campaign with a goal in a 2-2 draw against Burnley before West Ham suffered a 1-0 defeat to Charlton in the second round.

On Tuesday night, Solomon is set to feature in an Israeli derby in the English League Cup, with West Ham facing Southampton and its Israeli goalkeeper, Daniel Peretz. Hours before the match, pro-Arab activists arrived overnight at West Ham's training ground and staged a protest calling on the club to release Solomon.

The activists gathered outside the training ground holding PLO flags and later published a video calling for the Israeli player to leave the club. "There are West Ham fans among us, and we will continue to support Palestine. We do not agree with the signing of Manor Solomon, and we will continue to make our voices heard until he leaves the club," the activists said in the video.
