A serious incident occurred overnight in Borough Park, home to a large haredi community in the Brooklyn borough of New York City, when six local youths attacked a local haredi man, threw eggs at him, and fled the scene.
After receiving a report about the unusual incident, officers from the local New York Police Department (NYPD) precinct were dispatched to the scene, together with volunteers from the neighborhood Shomrim organization who arrived to assist in handling the incident.
Footage from the scene shows dozens of residents and volunteers gathered around the police forces as officers began conducting an initial investigation and extensive searches of the surrounding streets.
The rapid response by police and volunteers yielded results within a short time and led to the suspects being located near the scene of the incident.
Additional footage shows police officers leading the suspected youths, handcuffed, one after another toward NYPD vehicles parked in the middle of the street.
The suspects were taken to the local police station for further questioning and legal proceedings.
