A man of around 25 was found dead Friday morning near Jerusalem Beach in Bat Yam.
Magen David Adom teams who arrived at the scene performed medical examinations and pronounced his death.
MDA paramedic Roy Ben Yitah, senior EMT May Buzaglo, and EMT Eran Carmel said: "We found the man unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing after he was pulled from the water. We carried out medical examinations, but unfortunately we had no choice but to declare his death."
Meanwhile, officers from the Bat Yam police station in the Ayalon District have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
Police said that following receipt of the report, police officers, including forensic investigators, arrived at the scene alongside emergency personnel and began examining the area and collecting evidence.
According to police, the man's identity has not yet been established, and this stage, there is no suspicion of criminal activity.
