A senior Israeli security official confirmed to Reuters that the IDF has completed preparations for a large-scale strike on Iran’s energy infrastructure.
According to the report, Israel is now awaiting final approval from Washington, with the operational window for the strike estimated within the coming week.
The detailed Israeli plan reportedly includes strategic attacks on the country’s electricity infrastructure, major power stations, oil pumping facilities, and refineries across the Islamic Republic.
The stated objective is to undermine the pillars of Iran’s economy in response to the ongoing fighting and disruptions to maritime routes.
Earlier on Saturday, Israel struck petrochemical facilities in western Iran and steel industries, described as part of a gradual tightening of pressure on regime assets.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump warned in a post on Truth Social,"Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out - 48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them. Glory be to GOD!"
