Israel Police on Sunday night opened an investigation after a fragmentation grenade was hurled towards a home in Ashkelon.
According to the police statement, the grenade was aimed towards the home's yard, and caused damage but no injuries.
Police officers from the Ashkelon station and Southern District sappers arrived at the scene and began investigating the incident and collected evidence from the scene.
At this point, it is believed that the incident is criminal in nature.
