US President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social on Wednesday night that he has signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a bill requiring the Department of Justice to publicly release all documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case.
The legislation passed the House of Representatives on Tuesday by an overwhelming bipartisan vote of 427 to 1. The Senate followed suit Wednesday morning, approving the measure through unanimous consent immediately upon receiving it from the House.
The bill mandates full disclosure of all DOJ-held Epstein-related materials. However, it remains unclear how the Justice Department will implement the release or whether certain files will remain sealed due to ongoing investigations.
Earlier on Wednesday, Attorney General Pam Bondi said that the US Justice Department would release files from the Epstein case within 30 days.
"We will continue to follow the law and encourage maximum transparency," Bondi said at a press conference.
