Hadassah Medical Center reported on Wednesday morning that the condition of the 40-year-old woman who was severely wounded in the terror attack at the Gush Etzion Junction a day earlier remains severe.
She was operated on by medical teams from the vascular surgery, orthopedic, and general surgery departments, and is now sedated and on a ventilator at the Hadassah Ein Kerem intensive care unit.
The combined terror attack claimed the life of 65-year-old Kiryat Arba native Aharon Cohen. He was laid to rest in Kiryat Arba. He is survived by six children and grandchildren.
In addition, a man in his 30s and a 15-year-old boy were moderately wounded in the attack. They were taken to Shaare Zedek and Hadassah hospitals in Jerusalem. The two terrorists, residents of Beit Omar in the Hebron area, were eliminated at the scene.
An initial investigation found that the terrorists attempted to ram pedestrians at the Gush Etzion Junction. They then exited the vehicle, drew knives, and stabbed additional victims.
An IDF reservist from Battalion 7491 and armed civilians who were at the scene fired at the terrorists and eliminated them. The IDF reported that several pipe bombs were found at the scene.
