The body of Ofir Sarfati, 27, who was believed kidnapped from the music festival at Kibbutz Re'im on October 7, has been identified.
Yaakov Peretz, Mayor of Kiryat Ata, on Thursday morning published on Facebook that Sarfati's body was identified among those who were killed in the massacre.
For three weeks, the Sarfati family did not know what had become of Ofir. They were then informed by IDF representatives that he had been taken hostage to Gaza, by Hamas terrorists.
Sarfati attended the festival together with his partner, Shuval Gal, and a number of friends. He was photographed at the festival a few minutes before the massacre began.
The Hostages and Missing Persons Families Forum headquarters responded, "We share in the profound grief of the Sarfati family. Ofir (27) was kidnapped from the party in Re'im, and today the family received the tragic update that he was murdered."
"At the request of Ofir's family, the media is asked to kindly respect their privacy during this difficult time."
