In order to give the families of mobilized reserve soldiers a break from the hardships resting on their shoulders during this war, a special fun day was held Monday for the families who are Binyamin residents, at the Magic Kass amusement park in Mishor Adumum.
The activities were organized by the Binyamin Regional Council, in conjunction with the Mateh Binyamin Development Company and the Matnas Binyamin community center.
Over 3,000 Binyamin residents participated in the fun day. Among them was Hodiya, from the Shiloh bloc of communities, who was there with her three children.
“This gesture to the families is not taken for granted and is really appreciated,” she said. “Seeing the children forget the situation for a moment and have fun the way children are supposed to – that gives us the strength to keep going.”
Binyamin Regional Council head Israel Ganz greeted the thousands of mothers and children, saying, “You are standing behind the warriors of the Jewish People.”
“The home front is very important and enables Israel to defeat her enemies. When you are strong, the army is strong and the entire nation is strong. The Binyamin Region salutes you and thanks you.
“It’s wonderful to see the wives of reservists having a good time with their children, whose fathers are at the battlefront. We will do everything we can to give strength to the home front and the Gaza front.”
Since the beginning of the war, the Binyamin Regional Council has distributed much-needed protective equipment. In a campaign led by Ganz, friends of the Binyamin Region raised several million shekels for a significant bolstering of the security equipment for the first responder teams and security coordinators in the Binyamin towns.
