The gravesite of Captain (res.) Elhanan Meir Kalmanson is the only one in Israel's history which has the emblems of two different security organizations engraved on it.

"Two crowns on a single grave: This is the only grave in the history of all the fallen, since the founding of the State, which on a single grave has two symbols of two different arms of security," Kalmanson's brother, Rabbi Menachem Kalmanson, wrote.

The two brothers fought side-by-side in the battle in which Elhanan fell.

"The crown of the emblem of the Mossad, and the crown of the emblem of the IDF. These two emblems speak volumes about the character and unique personality of our brother, Elhanan Kalmanson, who had boundless love for this Land. Elhanan worked with all his might to make it so that it would be better here.

"In his civilian life, in his military activities, and in his secret activities in the Mossad, for which silence is beautiful, and even on the last journey he took, from which he did not return. Elhanan went to save the residents of Be'eri on the first day of the fighting, and he saved about 100 people."
