Canada has seen an increase in the number of anti-Semitic incidents with the start of the war in the Gaza Strip, as well as open incitement heard in the anti-Zionist demonstrations.

A few days ago graffiti was painted on the house of a Jewish family living in Washago, Ontario - a town roughly 170 km north of Toronto - on the walls of the house and the garbage can: "Jews die", and "Slaughter". A note placed in the family's mailbox read "You and your Jewish family are going to die!"

The Ontario Provincial Police opened an investigation to examine whether this was a hate crime and to ensure the personal safety of the threatened Jewish family.

The leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, said in a speech several months ago that the Jews around the world will be the first victims of a religious war, and the leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, accused the Israeli establishment of desecrating the Koran in Sweden, and said that the young Muslims around the world, whom he called "zealous and brave", should act independently if required.

At several demonstrations in Canada, the flags of Hamas, Iran, and the Taliban were raised and the crowd expressed loyalty to the al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas, and to the military commander of the organization, Muhammad Deif.

In some of the demonstrations, explicit threats were made to harm the Jews, and among other things, calls were made to "Smash off the head of the Zionists" and a call to the Jews to remember the battle of Khyber in which Muhammad massacred the Jewish inhabitants.
