Two children from the Palestinian Authority village of Urif, aged 3 and 4, went missing on Shabbat (Saturday) evening.
Residents of Urif searched for them in the village for many hours as did residents of the nearby Jewish community of Yitzhar. In the end, the residents of Yitzhar found the children sleeping in an empty house in the Kumi Ori neighborhood, located between Yitzhar and Urif.
IDF soldiers returned the children to their families.
Yitzhar is a religious-Torani community established in 1983 on the uninhabited top of the Samarian mountain ridge, south of Shechem. It is the brunt of organizations opposing Jewish life in Judea and Samaria such as Peace Now and Yesh Din who consider its residents zealots.
