The leaders of the anti-government protests announced today (Thursday) that they would hold another 'day of disruption' this coming Monday.

The anti-judicial reform movement held a 'day of disruption' on Monday, including a large demonstration at Ben Gurion Airport.

"With the worsening and progress of the [reasonableness standard] legislation, the organizations are calling on the general public to come out en masse and participate next Monday in the National Day of Resistance in order to stop the legislation that will result in severe damage to the army, the crushing of the Israeli economy, and a rift in the nation," the protest leaders said in a statement.

They also wrote that "the moment of truth is approaching and they call on the chairman of the National Histadrut, and the heads of the economy from all sectors, to announce a general shutdown and join the day of resistance, thereby forcing the government to stop the destructive legislation."

"Netanyahu and the government of destruction are bringing Israel closer to the abyss. The enormous costs in the fields of security, the economy, international relations, and the rift in the nation are already clear.

"In the face of all this damage, only the citizens in the streets can save Israeli democracy. This is the time to intensify the resistance so that our home does not crumble," they concluded.
