The IDF on Tuesday night targeted a terror cell located in a Jenin cemetery, an IDF source said.
In a statement, the IDF confirmed: "A short while ago, an IDF aircraft targeted an armed terrorist cell located in a cemetery on the outskirts of the city of Jenin. The gunmen posed a threat to the security forces exiting from the Jenin Camp."
"This is further proof of the exploitation of civilian areas in the city of Jenin and the Jenin Camp by terrorist operatives," the IDF emphasized.
Separately, the IDF clarified, "During the past few hours, there were reports on social media regarding fire by IDF soldiers toward a hospital. The reports are not currently known to the security forces."
"Since the entrance of the security forces in the area of the city, terrorist organizations have exploited civilian areas as a hideout and have exploited residents as human shields. The IDF allows the movement of Palestinian medical forces in the area of the city and operates to reduce harm to non-combatants."
