המפגינים מול ביתו של רוני אלשיךתקומה 2023

A demonstration was held on Sunday outside the home of former Police Commissioner Roni Alsheikh in Givat Shmuel, organized by the Tkuma 2023, Im Tirzu, and HQ 64 organizations.

The demonstration comes on the backdrop of Alsheikh's statements last week on Galei Tzahal regarding Prime Minister Netanyahu's indictment, saying, "We expected him to resign from his position when an indictment was filed, that the party would tell him that it was for the good of the country that he resigns and someone else comes into power."

Tkuma 2023 Chairman Berale Crombie stated: "Roni Alshiekh and his sham trial friends in the prosecution dragged the state of Israel through a mad escapade of boycotting Netanyahu and a political and social crisis that caused a severe rift in the nation, fighting, and hatred - all because of a personal vendetta. In a properly-run country, these people, who are responsible for so much baseless hatred and sham trials, would have to pay a personal and public price."

Im Tirzu CEO Matan Peleg added: "The fact that Roni Alsheikh, in his own voice, admitted that he had foreign and invalid political considerations while dealing with Netanyahu's cases shows that the investigation process was flawed. An inquiry board must be set up, the investigators must be investigated."
