MK Merav Ben-Ari (Yesh Atid) posed a question on Wednesday to Defense Minister Yoav Gallant regarding the violent riots and attempts to burn houses and vehicles by Jews in Judea and Samaria.

"You don't need to be an intelligence officer to understand that if G-d forbid, just like the last two times, in the next terror incident, we will probably see settlers going out to burn houses," Ben-Ari stated. "I ask you, honorable minister, is the military ready for the next incident?"

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant answered: "The residents of Judea and Samaria are law-abiding citizens, with this, there is a group of lawbreakers. A substantial part of them are not residents of Judea and Samaria, this is a very dangerous group that is disavowed by the settlement movement and its leadership, but it's a big group.

Not only am I worried by it, the Prime Minister, as well as the IDF Cheif of Staff and Shin Bet Chief, are also worried," Gallant claimed and declared: "I will not allow a situation where we worry [about the response to terror] as our enemies do, that is not the way the people of the book are supposed to act. We have here a dangerous social phenomenon that has to be fought."
