Culture Minister Miki Zohar (Likud) told Channel 12 News in an interview on Friday that, if Justice Minister Yariv Levin resigns from the government, the move will lead to mass resignations of other ministers.
"If Yariv Levin resigns, there will be mass resignations in the government," said Zohar.
"There were some people from the coalition who thought that through this vote on the Judicial Selection Committee they would hurt Netanyahu, it's a shame," he continued. "The Judicial Selection Committee in its current composition is unbalanced, it's unreasonable and it's not democratic."
Zohar commented on the conduct of MK Tally Gotliv, who was sanctioned by the Likud after defying coalition discipline and refusing to withdraw her candidacy for the Judicial Selection Committee despite being asked to do so by Prime Minister Netanyahu.
"I am sad that Tally Gotliv made the wrong decision, it does not contribute to her political career. Her way is not the correct one. The Likudniks do not like these conflicts within the party. This is improper conduct."
On the legislation of the judicial reform, he said, "I call for the Attorney General Law and the expansion of the reasonability to be brought to a vote."
