Border Police officers caught two suspects stealing produce from a field in the Megiddo regional council.
During the past week, Border Police officers, together with Hashomer Hachadash and the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, launched an offensive operation to stop illegal picking in almond orchards in the Megiddo regional council in northern Israel.
During the operation, a drone identified suspects picking the produce. Border Police officers then surrounded the suspects and arrested them for illegal picking. The suspects were detained for investigation.
The police stated: "Border Police will continue to work determinedly and professionally while using all advanced means in the fight against agricultural crime, to preserve the farmers' security."
