Activists from the Sovereignty Movement gathered Sunday morning near the Knesset in Jerusalem to demonstrate their support for the government's judicial reform legislation.
Among those who joined the demonstration was MK Ohad Tal (Religious Zionism), who addressed the crowd in English.
"We are here supporting the government, supporting the reform, supporting the changes we want to make, to make Israel a democracy again," declared Tal.
According to MK Tal, the people who oppose the reform listen to the media too much. "The media is all against us", he insists. "But we have to say the truth. The truth is that the reform is not against democracy, it is to strengthen democracy, and it is to make sure that you get what you voted for in the election," he explains.
"We are here to make sure that with G-d's help if we have a right-wing government, we will be able to actually apply right-wing policies in the Jewish-democratic state of Israel."
