The Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, Rabbi Moshe Azman, spoke to Israel National News about the feelings surrounding Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen's visit to the country, the first since the war with Russia broke out a year ago.

Rabbi Azman spoke about his joint visit to Babi Yar, the destroyed towns, and other sites where many Ukrainian civilians were killed.

During the visit, they stopped at the home of a Jewish woman in one of the destroyed towns to get a feeling of the scope of the harm she suffered.

"This is a very important visit, the first visit by a minister of this rank. We are very thankful to the Israeli government, which is beginning to relate to the ties with Ukraine seriously. This is a dramatic change," says Rabbi Azman who emphisizes that not just he, but the intire Ukrainian nation is waiting for Israel to change how it treats Ukraine.
