Tensions have been brewing between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Justice Minister Yariv Levin over the government's planned judicial reforms, Channel 12 News reported.
According to the report, the tensions began when Netanyahu was dissatisfied with the media's coverage of the judicial reforms, but have escalated in recent days.
In one conversation, Minister Levin reportedly threatened to bring down the coalition over the issue.
A source close to Netanyahu said that the Prime Minister would like to see a compromise to allow the reforms to be passed with the widest possible support, while Levin insists on passing the legislation as is.
The offices of Netanyahu and Levin denied the report. The Likud party stated: "The report regarding Prime Minister Netanyahu and Deputy Prime Minister Yariv Levin is fake news through and through, false and despicable. It never happened, and unfortunately it was broadcast in an amateurish manner, even though it was denied by every authorized and official source."
