Attorney Dr. Eliad Shraga, the chairman of the Movement for the Quality of Government, was not happy about the disqualification of Aryeh Deri's appointment as minister, even though his movement was among those who petitioned to the Supreme Court against the appointment.

"I am very sad that it is not clear that a person with indictments should not even be a grocer [let alone a government minister]. I am very sad that our system of values and norms has collapsed and that they are destroying the system and the value infrastructure of the State of Israel in order to whitewash the impropriety. I am also very sad that they are trampling on the Torah of Israel and trying to legitimize people whose entire nature is bribery, cheating, breach of trust and theft," Shraga told Israel National News in an interview.

"Deri, together with Netanyahu, will destroy the State of Israel because what they are truly interested in is escaping trial. They will destroy the justice system and invent stories that black is white and white is black. It is time for the public to understand that they are being led astray," he continued.

"I would suggest that people whose actions are tainted should not be part of the leadership of the State of Israel. Unfortunately, the situation is getting worse and more criminals are sitting at the government table. No one would take them as a partner or board member anywhere else in the world - but here they are part of the government."

Shraga is also not optimistic about the future, saying, "Even though we succeeded in the fight in this case, we are worried about what is going to happen. Now they have a reason to destroy the justice system."
