A delegation from the radical hasidic Neturei Karta sect visited Jenin on Monday and stayed in the home of Islamic Jihad leader Bassam al-Saadi. The delegation met several senior members of the terrorist organization and declared their support for the Palestinian cause.

They also met with Fatah secretary general Ata Abu Ramila.

A member of the delegation explained: "We are Palestinian Jews, we want to live under the Palestinian flag and not the Israeli flag, in one country which is the Palestinian state."

Hundreds of years ago and before the occupation began, we lived together in the Old City of Jerusalem and there was no difference between Jews and Muslims. We all came From one father, Abraham, and we lived happily together.

"Later, the Zionists came and created pressure to separate us, but we rejected it. We want peace and not the racist Israeli law, which is a threat to the lives of Jews and Muslims. No matter how much time passes, we will continue to stick to our dreams and common goals. We want Palestine with its capital Jerusalem and the Palestinian Authority so that we can live happily." he said.

Neturei Karta is extremely anti-Zionist, and unlike other anti-Zionist haredi or hasidic sects has actively supported the enemies of the State of Israel such as terrorist organizations and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In 2020, a Neturei Karta delegation attended the funeral of Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Iranian Quds Force, after he was assassinated in a US air strike. In 2006, the Satmar hasidic sect, the largest hasidic sect in the world, condemned Neturei Karta members who visited Iran to attend a Holocaust denial conference and called on the public to disassociate themselves from the members of that delegation.
