IDF soldiers on Saturday thwarted an attempt to smuggle around 31 kilograms of drugs into Israel from Egypt, the IDF said.
Overnight, the fighters identified a number of suspects attempting to smuggle drugs over the Egyptian border and into Israel.
Forces called to the scene foiled the attempt and confiscated the sack of drugs, which are estimated to be worth 1.2 million shekel.
The drugs were transferred to the Israel Police for further processing.
