(IsraelNN.com) Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Dan Gillerman is set to be the acting chairman of the United Nations Assembly session which is to be addressed by Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom.
Gillerman is the first Israeli to do so in over a half a century, preceded by Israel’s late Ambassador Abba Eban, who chaired a session in the international body in 1953.
