The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) published on its official Facebook page details of the humanitarian aid that entered the Gaza Strip through Israel this week.
According to the report, last Tuesday approximately 150 Gaza residents who had permits to enter third countries left the Gaza Strip. They traveled through Israel to Jordan on their way to their destination countries.
COGAT also reported that 70%-80% of all trucks that entered the Gaza Strip over the past week were carrying food products.
During the same week, hundreds of trucks carrying medical supplies also entered the Gaza Strip, bringing supplies including wheelchairs, surgical equipment, and medications. Dozens of additional trucks carried equipment for water and sewage systems, sanitation, and hygiene, including large water tanks and chlorine tablets.
During the past week, Gilad Erdan, chairman of the Ha'achdut party, arrived at the Kerem Shalom Crossing on the Gaza border and participated in a protest against the transfer of humanitarian aid into Gaza and against the entry of foreign forces.
