Early Wednesday morning, large police forces raided the "Ura Yisrael" hilltop outpost near Ariel, accompanied by engineering equipment and Civil Administration inspectors.

The forces first demolished the young men's building and the sheep pen at the site, and then moved on to the family homes. The forces surrounded two families' homes and informed them that they had only a few minutes to evacuate.

The women requested additional time from the evacuation officer to pack their children's clothes and other basic personal belongings, but their request was denied. The homes were demolished with their contents still inside, including furniture, religious books, clothing, and food supplies.

Residents of the outpost said: "The 'Ura Yisrael' hilltop is a highly strategic settlement point in Area B. Its goal is to penetrate the 'Aruora' bloc, a vast area stretching from the Arab city of Salfit to Ramallah and Jerusalem, designated as Area A, where the Palestinian Authority is allowed to act as it pleases, without a Jewish presence."

"The hilltop prevents the de facto establishment om the ground of a Palestinian state."
