Associates of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are expected to act following the primaries to "cleanse Likud" of haredi party members who are not genuine supporters, Kan 11 News reported Monday evening.

The move mirrors previous internal political campaigns, such as the effort targeted against the "New Likudniks" group during past primary elections.

This initiative follows political coordination between haredi voter-registration organizers within the movement and MK David Bitan through vote-swapping deals struck during the primaries - arrangements Netanyahu previously refrained from blocking, allowing them to proceed in silence.

Under the emerging plan, party officials will identify member groups that have publicly expressed support for other political factions, with the potential disqualification of entire registration drives on the grounds that these members do not actually vote for Likud in general elections.

At the same time, the slates of ministers, members of Knesset, and new candidates backed by influential haredi organizers within the party are stirring internal debate among candidates and voters alike.

Key registration organizers exercise considerable influence over the voting directions of haredi party members, and their endorsement provides candidates with significant momentum. Additionally, some organizers operate coordinated transportation operations to bring voters to polling stations, with many viewing the election day operations thus far as a major success.

Among prominent candidates, Energy and Infrastructure Minister Eli Cohen was included on the recommended list of the Gur Hasidic movement following his support for Hasidic pilgrims traveling to Uman for Rosh Hashanah. Additionally, Finance Committee chairman Hanoch Milwidsky appeared on several Haredi recommendation slates due to his committee work and public backing of the haredi sector.

Likewise, Justice Minister Yariv Levin was listed by various organizers, drawing support from the haredi community for his judicial reform push and his criticism of the legal system.
