A new poll by Direct Polls for i24NEWS, released Thursday evening, shows Likud gaining momentum ahead of the elections for the 26th Knesset. According to the survey, the governing coalition parties hold a combined 59 seats.
If elections were held today, Likud would take 30 seats - a two-seat increase compared to last week’s i24NEWS poll. The "Yashar!" party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, remains the second-largest force in the Knesset with 23 seats, holding steady from the previous poll.
The Democrats party also maintains its standing, holding at 10 seats. Yisrael Beytenu and United Torah Judaism follow with 9 seats each, both unchanged from last week.
Shas holds steady at 8 seats. Naftali Bennett's Together party gains one seat, also reaching 8.
Itamar Ben Gvir's Otzma Yehudit slips by one seat to 7. The Hadash-Ta'al alliance drops two seats down to 6, while Religious Zionism and Ra'am receive 5 seats each, holding their ground from the previous survey.
Several lists failed to cross the electoral threshold, including Moshe Feiglin's "Zehut," Chili Tropper and Yoaz Hendel's Zionist Home, Yaron Zelekha's Economic Party, and Unity led by Gilad Erdan and Yuli Edelstein. Balad, Blue and White, and "Noam LeYisrael" also fell short of entering the Knesset.
By political blocs, the current coalition parties secure 59 seats, compared to 50 for the center-left opposition. The Arab-majority parties in the survey, Hadash-Ta'al and Ra'am, hold a combined 11 seats.
