Ahmed al Ahmed, the hero who fought with his bare hands against one of the attackers who committed the massacre at a Hanukkah celebration in Sydney, Australia today, suffered two gunshot wounds, his family stated.
Al Ahmed, a 43-year-old father of two, was filmed sneaking up on one of the shooters from behind and tackling the attacker, managing to grab the gun from the terrorist in the scuffle.
According to his family, al Ahmed was shot twice in the arm and is hospitalized. His heroism may have saved multiple lives.
At least 12 people were murdered in the mass shooting.
