
Residents in northern Israel on Wednesday morning reported feeling a mild earthquake in various areas.
According to Fire and Rescue Services, the epicenter of the quake was in Cyprus, with the tremor's shockwave also felt in Israel.
No injuries or property damage were reported.
According to data from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the earthquake measured 5.2 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 24 kilometers below the Earth's surface.
Later in the afternoon, residents of central Israel reported a second tremor.
According to EMSC, the epicenter of the second quake, measured at 5.3 on the Richter scale, was also in Cyprus, 3 km SE of Meládeia, at a depth of 10.0 km.
