US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit the Western Wall in Jerusalem on Sunday together with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, journalist Barak Ravid reported.
Secretary Rubio tweeted from the airport to confirm his trip.
"My focus will be on securing the return of the hostages, finding ways to make sure humanitarian aid reaches civilians, and addressing the threat posed by Hamas," he wrote.
"Hamaas cannot continue to exist if peace in the region is the goal," he added.
