The Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror organization confirmed Tuesday evening that its spokesman, Naji Abu Sayif, known as Abu Hamza, was eliminated in an IDF airstrike earlier today.

The confirmation follows a report from the Saudi television network al-Hadath that Abu Hamza, was eliminated during the surprise airstrikes.

According to other Arab reports, he was killed in a strike on the Nuseirat "refugee" camp in central Gaza together with his wife, son, and other family members.

Gazans report that among those killed in the strikes are the wife and four children of Rafah Brigade Commander Abu-Anas Shebana. According to the reports, three of his children were killed earlier in the war and now the remainder of his family was killed.

Earlier in the day the IDF stated that is continuing to strike terror targets belonging to the Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organizations across the Gaza Strip. "The targets struck over the past few hours include terrorist cells, launch posts, weapons stockpiles, and additional military infrastructure used by these terror organizations to plan and execute attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers," the IDF stated.
