Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in which she clarified that he must return to regular government meetings and limit telephone meetings. Such meetings, she claims, should be used in emergencies only, even during wartime.
In the letter, the Attorney General stated that, "It is right to return to a policy of regular government meetings even at this time and discuss the decisions and proposals in a balanced way, in particular essential and principled decisions, involving economic, social or security aspects."
She added that using the tool of a telephone poll between the ministers of the government should be done in exceptional cases and not regularly, as the case was recently.
"The use of the tool of a telephone poll should be reserved for the exceptional cases, where there is an urgency that does not allow waiting for an upcoming government meeting," the letter concluded.
