Shooting attack in Samaria: Terrorists opened fire shortly before midnight on Wednesday evening towards an Israeli vehicle in which two young adults and a five-month-old baby girl were travelling.
Magen David Adom reported that a 21-year-old man was seriously injured in the attack, and a 23-year-old woman suffered moderate injuries. The baby was unharmed.
The three were making their way from the Itamar area towards Gitit Junction in the Jordan Valley when the attack occurred, and continued driving after the shooting to the junction where rescue forces were waiting for them.
IDF forces in large numbers are searching for the suspected terrorists who carried out the attack and then fled the scene. A helicopter was also dispatched to the area to help evacuate the victims to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.
The head of the Samaria Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, said, "The towns in Samaria and the entire Israeli people stand behind the IDF and the defense establishment in the war on terror. We are here to win, these barbarians will never break our spirit."
Last week, 30-year-old Elhanan Klein, a father of three, was murdered in a shooting attack in Samaria, between Einav and Shavei Shomron.
He lost control of the vehicle, which deviated off the road and overturned. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
The terrorists fled the scene. IDF troops began pursuing them, and blocked roads in the area where bullet casings were discovered.
