Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett enlisted with the IDF reserves today (Saturday), following the massive surprise attack by the Hamas terrorist organization against the State of Israel.
Bennett, 51, served as Prime Minister of Israel from June 2021-June 2022. He served in the elite Sayeret Matkal commando unit and the Maglan commando unit, and attained the rank of Major. He served in the reserves during the Second Lebanon War in 2006.
At least 100 people were murdered when Hamas launched thousands of rockets and sent terrorist squads to attack communities in southern Israel early Saturday morning, during the Simchat Torah holiday, and many civilians and soldiers have been taken hostage by the terrorist organization.
