Steve Harwell, the lead singer of the band Smash Mouth, has passed away at the age of 56.
He was diagnosed with final-stage liver failure and admitted to hospice care shortly prior to his death.
His songs 'All Star' and 'I'm A Believer' earned considerable acclaim, among other things, as part of the soundtrack for the popular animated movie Shrek.
