National Unity Party chairman Benny Gantz on Monday evening condemned the ramming of protesters who were demonstrating against the judicial reform, and the anti-reform protesters' attack on a car in which there were children.

"On the evening of Tisha B'Av, firing in the air and ramming protesters. I call on all sides, all citizens of Israel - we are all brothers, violence must not happen,” Gantz tweeted.

“Continue to express your opinion, protest, demonstrate - but do not cross red lines. We are brothers!" added Gantz.

Shortly after Gantz posted his tweet, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich retweeted the words to his followers as well.

Footage that was circulated on social media and went viral showed a mother with three children driving between anti-reform protesters near Sacher Park in Jerusalem and the protesters are seen attacking her.

At one point, the demonstrators break the windshield of the car and the children burst into tears and become hysterical.

Police arrested a 45-year-old suspect, a resident of Hod Hasharon, on suspicion of assault.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attacks and said: "This is not the way."
