Senior sources in Israel's coalition on Saturday evening threatened that anyone who does not support the changes to the reasonableness standard on Monday will be fired - including Defense Minister Yoav Gallant (Likud).

The warning follows Gallant's statement that he is doing everything possible to ensure the bill passes with broad agreement.

Analyst Amit Segal reported Saturday evening that members of the coalition had received an announcement that, "Tomorrow, beginning at 2:00p.m., you must be in Jerusalem and leave your details with the party staff regarding where you will be. No one has approval not to obey this instruction."

It was also reported that due to concerns of underhanded opportunism by the opposition, members of the coalition will not participate in the right-wing protest suggested to be held in Tel Aviv. However, Justice Minister Yariv Levin (Likud) and MK Simcha Rothman (Religious Zionism) will participate virtually. The main concern is that the opposition may attempt to force a vote on Sunday evening.

Meanwhile, MK Benny Gantz, who heads the National Unity party, said during a left-wing protest that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "has a majority of 64 Knesset seats, but he does not have a majority in the public to destroy the democracy and tear apart the nation. A true leader knows how to listen to the citizens, he knows how to do the right thing. We must not allow extremists to decide our future. I call to him to stop, to act responsibly, and to reach agreements. If not - we are headed for disaster the day before the Ninth of Av."
