Saleh al-Aaruri, the deputy leader of Hamas, calls the IDF operation in Jenin and its refugee camp "another chapter of the occupation's aggression against our people, the signs of which have been visible for some time."
Last night, the IDF began a large-scale operation throughout the city and in the Jenin refugee camp. The IDF and ISA said that as part of an effort to end terrorism in Judea and Samaria, the security forces attacked a building that was the joint headquarters of the city's various terrorist factions.
In an interview with the Hamas TV channel Al-Aqsa, Al-Aaruri said that "the occupation army will fall into the ambushes prepared by our soldiers" and "we will cripple the occupation at any time and place we choose" and "the occupation left Jenin defeated". In this context, al-Aaruri called on the militants in Jenin to capture Israeli soldiers.
Al-Aruri expressed confidence in the resistance organizations and mentioned that a few days ago a Qassam rocket was launched from Jenin towards Israeli territory.
He called on the Palestinian public, addressing 'the soldiers and everyone who has the opportunity and means to start acting against Israel. To our people and heroes in the West Bank, O heroes, this is your day, fight with all weapons to protect our honor and our soldiers in the Jenin camp and everywhere."
According to him, "The campaign in the West Bank is fateful because the occupation targets Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa (Mosque) and the deportation of our people to the West Bank and to extinguish the Palestinian dream of freedom and independence."
Al-Aaruri also said that "our people emerge from any conflict stronger and we will meet with a generation that will lead the campaign and win the occupation."
"The threats of the occupation do not frighten our people and our struggle organizations as they are proud of fighting the occupation," Al-Aaruri said, noting that Hamas will work to provide the residents of the Palestinian Authority with all the necessary means of resistance.
