Simcha and Lea Goldin, the parents of Hadar Goldin, whose body has been held captive in the Gaza Strip by the Hamas terrorist organization for nine years, protested today (Sunday) in front of the government meeting for the 110th consecutive week demanding the return of the Hamas captives.
"The situation is getting worse," Simcha Goldin told Israel National News - Arutz Sheva. He specifically criticized Knesset State Control Committee chairman MK Mickey Levy (Yesh Atid).
"After the discussion on the State Comptroller's report that took place in March regarding the return of the prisoners from the Gaza Strip, he assured us that within a month or two he would return to discuss this matter and check what the government ministers had done about it. I remind him: Miki Levy, we are here," he said.
He referred to the release of the brother of the terrorist who commanded the kidnapping of his son Hadar: "There is no one to hide behind, we have been shouting this for a long time and they didn't believe us. The facts are clear, the State of Israel releases terrorists all the time. 700 terrorists have been released since 2014."
"We've been here for 110 weeks, what are they waiting for, for us to grow old and die?" he asked.
Hadar Goldin was an IDF soldier who was killed during Operation Protective Edge in summer 2014, when Hamas terrorists violated a humanitarian ceasefire to attack IDF personnel. His body and the body of fellow soldier Oron Shaul have been held illegally by Hamas since 2014. Hamas also holds two Israeli civilians captive, Avera Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed, and has refused to allow them to be visited by the Red Cross. Both Mengistu and al-Sayed suffer from mental instability and wandered into Gaza, where they were captured by Hamas.
