IDF soldiers operated overnight Wednesday to arrest wanted terrorists in the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp in Jericho.

Palestinian Arab media reported that dozens of military vehicles entered the camp, and that the forces raided more than 30 homes. It was also reported that a gun battle developed between terrorists and the security forces.

The Palestinian Authority’s health bureau reported that eight Palestinian Arabs were injured during the exchange of fire with IDF soldiers, including one who was seriously injured.

Earlier this week, IDF and Border Police forces operated in the Balata refugee camp in Shechem (Nablus), demolishing a bomb factory and confiscating weapons, including three M-16 assault rifles.

During the operation, a gun battle broke out between the forces and the soldiers, in which three terrorists were killed, another was critically wounded, and two were seriously wounded.

In a separate operation, Israeli forces operating in Jenin arrested three wanted terror suspects.

During the operation, terrorists hurled an explosive device and fired at the soldiers, who responded with live fire. The soldiers also confiscated military equipment. While the forces exited the city, suspects hurled explosive devices at the forces, who responded with live fire.
